Description

Podocalyxin is sialomucin, most closely related to CD34 and endoglycan, expressed by kidney podocytes, hematopoietic progenitors, vascular endothelia, and a subset of neurons. It regulates both cell adhesion and cell morphology and plays an essential role in the formation of podocyte foot processes.

Formulation

Phosphate-buffered solution, pH 7.2, containing 0.09% sodium azide

Recommended Usage

Each lot of this antibody is quality control tested by immunofluorescent staining with flow cytometric analysis. For flow cytometric staining, the suggested use of this reagent is ≤ 1.0 µg per million cells in 100 µL volume. For immunohistochemistry on frozen tissue sections, a concentration range of 2.0 - 5.0 µg/mL is suggested. It is recommended that the reagent be titrated for optimal performance for each application.
