To identify and test new treatments for cystic fibrosis, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Therapeutics Inc. has opened a new laboratory in Lexington, MA. The team of 25 will focus on the discovery of promising drugs for both common and rare mutations of the cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene. For cell sorting the lab selected the Sony SH800 (placed inside a biosafety cabinet).
